Two extremely rare Naim Audio NAB-300 Poweramps. Only 11 were ever built, and these are serial numbers 0007 and 0009. This is essentially a “ballsy” professional studio/sound reinforcement fan-cooled version of the NAP250, delivering 150 watts/channel into 4 ohms. (The “B’ stood for “Broadcast amp”.)
Both amps were re-capped and checked out by Naim Audio North America in 2005. These amps have always been owned by the CEO of Audiophile Systems, Ltd., which was the Naim importer into the US from the late 70’s through the 80’s. They are both in excellent shape. One has a ding on the right side of the faceplate and rack handle.
This is perhaps, one of the most “killer” hi-fi sound reinforcement amps ever built, and the two have also made for one amazing bi-amp hi-fi systems driving Audiovector 6-X loudspeakers. They’ve been used to provide astoundingly lifelike sound for many folk and traditional music concerts over several years, driving the sound reinforcement version of the Linn Sara loudspeaker. They are extremely robust. Neither amp has ever failed, or even blown a fuse. Nonetheless, since they were owned by the distributor, the amps come with two brand-new spare channel circuit boards, and 24 spare output devices! So service, if ever needed, should never be a problem, and these amps should last a lifetime. They also come with the original factory cartons.
The NAB-300 has parallel Canon and Banana output terminals for each channel.
Also available, AND INCLUDED, are the following Naim Audio NAC4 speaker cables:
Two 61 foot lengths of White NAC4
Four 42 foot lengths of White NAC4
One 21 foot length White NAC4
One 33 foot length Black NAC4
One 22 foot length Black NAC4
Variously terminated with Deltron Bananas, dual Bananas, and Canon Female.

Sur le site naim, l'historique des produits présente le nab 300 comme le premier ampli de la marque.

Je n'en avais jamais entendu parler auparavant : quelqu'un l'a déjà eu entre les mains ?

Si je comprends bien l'article, ce sont des amplis monos ventilés.

Je relance ce post car une occasion se présente. Mais je ne peux pas le tester avant pour me faire mon opinion.

D'après les photos, le nab300 fonctionne avec deux transfo différents de d'habitude (pas des H&F). Ensuite, il a un ventilateur .
Enfin, les 4 condos m'ont l'air introuvables!

Si j'ai bien compris, l'ampli s'adressait aux professionnels.

Alors, le nab300 serait moins bon qu'un 250CB mais meilleur qu'un 160...?

A priori, remplacer des condos ne devrait pas être très compliqué...
Tout dépend du prix, mais moi, ça me ferait bien plais' de posséder le premier ampli Naim...


Disons qu'à moins de 1000€, je foncerais.
